I hate house cleaning! I do what needs to be done but who wants to spend a life chasing dust? As my favourite Australian Still life artist Margaret Olley would say, "When you find your house looks dirty, buy another bunch of flowers!"

I love painting still life using my home as a basis for my ideas and background props! I love to use vintage glassware, china and heirloom furniture to form interesting compositions for my flowers fruit and food!

I started my journey as an artist in 2014 and have been involved in art residencies in Kapunda South Australia, Le Foret du Temple France and Honolulu Hawaii. I look for simple everyday life experiences based around the Home to express myself as an artist with the hope my work brings joy to the observer!

I tend to use bold, bright and vibrant colours to construct a view of our daily life based on life here in Adelaide especially! . Moving through iconic places like the Adelaide Central Market, Kapunda, The Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and The Fleurieu Peninsula, gathering memories and visual resources to assist my paintings. Visiting vintage shops and searching through their treasures combined with fresh flowers often from friends gardens and sourcing fruit from backyard trees all add to   an authentic approach to my painting! I want my work to express my Adelaidean heritage, my family and focus on sharing goodness and well being!

If I could think of a title for my art work it would be "La Bonne Table!" Enjoy the fragrance and abundance in my work! And from family to yours... Bon appétit!
